Camping at Whiteside

Dear Grandparents,
This week was the last in my swimming series. I got to ride the slide with daddy, it was more fun than with mommy, because she dunked me at the end :(

After my nap Mommy, Tok and I headed out to meet Cale, Kait, and Chuck for some camping...

Cale was really excited to see me and show me things he found around the campsite.

Chilling by the fire waiting for Daddy to arrive...

Nomming some pita,

Hiking with Daddy,

Family portrait,

Daddy sugar raining down on me,

Must keep hydrated!

This is a video of me just flapping my lips at my mommy and daddy.

In other news I have decided that "dada" had the shine wearing off of it and decided to switch it up with "nom nom." my mommy will try and catch a video of it this week. On Sunday Grandpa Marc is taking me to my first baseball game, go Rockies!

Dunkin' Cute Britches

Dear Grandparents,
This week didn't see any big events, we volunteered to register voters on Saturday, I drew in tons of ladies ;) The rest of the week was pretty quiet, we were supposed to go camping but we got to the site and it was soaked with snow looming on the horizon so, we hightailed it out of there. We are going to try again next weekend with Cale, Kait and Chuck.

Since there were no big events I decided to provide the entertainment for the week and started crawling!

I also figured out how to pull myself up against my mommy or the couch.

Saturday was swim lessons again, this time my daddy came with us :) It was a lot of fun splashing around and I did much better when it was time to dunk.

After swimming we had to rinse all that pool water off of me, my faux hawk is getting long!

After that I cashed out...

The rest of the weekend I practiced my sitting, standing and crawling with daddy :)

Whew, this week was a lot of work!

Harken Ye! Harken Ye! Grand Lords and Ladies of my Lineage...

Dear Grandparents,

This week the highlights had to be swim class and the Renaissance Festival. At swim class we started dunking. I am not really sure about it yet. Hopefully it won't scare me as bad the next time I try it.

Here are Mommy and I before the dunking commenced...

I was trying to figure out why all the other babies were hitting the water so much, when...

Hey, why are you all singing and going in a circle, oh shit...this isn't gong to end well, is it?

Well there you have it, the latest in what has been a series of events that are supposed to be good for me or enriching, but when viewed from the vacuum of experience in which I exist, seem much like "enhanced" interrogation techniques.

My parents must have felt bad about the whole partial drowning thing and so they took me to a Renaissance Festival down in Larkspur.

First stops in were a flower tiara for Mommy and a drinking horn for Daddy's mead.

I got to snag this wicked hat, it drove the ladies wild the rest of the day!

On our way out the queen spotted me and requested an audience with my cuteness. My mommy, being an obedient wench, acquiesced to her request ;)

Where I meet my first fairy and get curious about grass.

Hello Grandparents!

This week started slow...worked on my fine motor control,

...practiced standing with some help,

...had my first swim lesson (for which my mommy asked me to apologize to you all for the distinct lack of photographic evidence, my dad had to work so we will have to take some next class when we practice dunking).

On Sunday Daddy went golfing so mommy and I cruised on down to the People's Street Fair on Capitol Hill in Denver.

It was amazing, so many talented artists, organic do gooders, and regular old hippies. When it got a little hot we camped in the shade in the center of the fair a d watched the people go by. I got my first feel of grass and decided that it was okay to sit on but...

...not so great to lay on ;)

These are giant metal animals that moved, very cool!

'Tis a beautiful thing to have a fairy sing of seeing the sky in your eyes :)
