Fall-tober Fun

Dear Grandparents,

This will be one of my last blog posts for this series. I am almost one now and am starting to find that I am just too busy to do this every week. Not to worry though, my mommy will still keep up with the pictures on Facebook :)

These first pics are from a playdate with my friend Gavin. He is just a few months older than me, so he knows fun things to do with rocks that I don't. But that is okay, because he has no clue about the wonders of sticks.

This picture is from the salon where my mommy's friend Kaitlan got her hair cut off to donate to cancer wigs.

...and this is Kaitlan and I after she finished the Devil's Dash Race.

Well, it's October and that means fall fun on a farm! We have been to two pumpkin patches so far and these are the pictures from those outings.

This first one is of Mommy, me, Susan, and Jacob in front of the pick your own pumpkin patch.

Here Jacob and I are supposed to be posing for a cute pic but unfortunately I was obsessed with his pacifier and refused to look at the camera for Mommy.

Man! I am over two feet tall already. Hm...wish I was a baller, wish I was a little bit taller. Mommy says not to worry, I have plenty of time to reach my full height potential.

Those pigs...I wasn't really too sure about them. I thought I liked them until one looked at me and his little beady eyes told me he had a taste for baby thighs, it scared me so much I cried.

These pics are from the next time we went. This is my friend Zenon. He was really good at finding spiders and eating dirt.

"Well, hello there little missy..." The fact that my pinky is raised cracks my daddy up. He says it is all that high-flatuting that I do with Mommy ;)

I really am kind of over the camera. I don't think there are very many pictures right now where I am willing to look. I can't help it though, there is so much other stuff to look at!

Well that is the last batch for now. Grandparents Oates are in town for the next two weeks on their way to retirement in Arizona. I am sure we will be super busy while they are here. I also have a Halloween/Birthday coming up and a trip to Grandparents Gundersen's for my actual birthday.
My Mommy wanted you all to know that she will be working with Grandpa Phillip to set up a college savings fund for me and she asks that all the grandparents consider contributing to it for my birthdays/christmas/etc in leiu of tons of toys. She will email the details to you after she gets it all worked out.
Remeber to check on Facebook for more of my outings and antics :)

I love you all!

Commander in Denver

Dear Grandparents,

This last week was pretty cool for my mommy. She was able to score a ticket to see the President speak at Lincoln High School here in Denver. She stood in line early Monday morning, and then took us Tuesday to her friend Brittany's house. I played with her kids, Carter and Kennedy, Kennedy was not too sure about sharing her toy with me...

After hanging with the kids, Mommy strapped me into my carrier and we headed out to catch our bus to the event. I had never been on public transportation before, there were lots of crazy looking people that just loved talking to Mommy...I am not too sure how my mommy felt about it though ;) This picture is of us waiting in line to go through the metal detectors.

Mommy calls this picture her lucky shot. She said that this made the whole trip worth it. We were very close to where he entered, but kind far from the actual podium.

Let's see that was on Tuesday on Wednesday we went to Cheesman Park and had a bike ride with Kaitlan and Cale. Our first stop was a playground...

...where I had a great time crawling around in the dirt and eating leaves.

I am getting pretty used to my bike seat and my helmet is starting to fit better.

Then on Saturday we went to the Boulder Farmer's Market with Kaitlan, Cale, Susan and Jacob.

This is Jacob and I checking out his wheels...

We spent most of the time in grassy knolls playing while Mommy was practicing her photography...

Kaitlan even managed to get behind the camera a few times.

Jeez, that was such a good stick, mmmmm, makes me a little nostalgic.

This is my friend, Cale, showing me other fun things to do with a big rock and a stick.

And if that wasn't enough, we went to Mile High Marketplace with Trang, John, and Riker on Sunday.

...Mommy just told me to throw this in because it is fricking cute.

I will be in touch again with more pictures of my adventures soon!

Love to all of you,
Leif
