No phone, no cable, no truck, no Alaska?!

Dear grandparents,

This week has seen a lot of changes around our house. My mommy got rid of her iPhone (that leaves me with just an iPad, oh woe is me ;), we dropped our cable service which means no more 24 hour news (I miss you Contessa!), and we traded in the truck I came home from the hospital in for a smart car. Whew, and that was all before Wednesday! I won't get to ride in the new car until my carseat is forward facing, but Tok has already been out in it.

This picture is of me in my new cart cover. My mommy thought that as long as I am sitting up, pretty much on my own, that not lugging the carseat inside sounded sweet. Then on Wednesday we went to see Cale and Kait for the morning. Cale gave me a truck to play with when I first got there, well it might have been a little above my pay grade because I ended up whacking my face with it and giving myself a scratch. Mommy decided that a wooden train car was a much better option for me, but she thanked Cale for trying for me.

I also got to hang out with daddy while mommy ran errands, we are thinking of starting a band.

And that is about when the week fell apart for us. We were supposed to go to Alaska to see some of you grandparents, but fate, the fickle witch, would have otherwise and we missed our plane. My mommy and daddy were really upset, it was too much for me to handle so I stayed quiet and then fell asleep in the car on the way back to the house. The next morning I was wisked off to the mountains for some impromptu camping. It was great! I really enjoyed being outside and slept like a log all bundled between my parents on Tok's dog bed (they forgot the pad to sleep on, but remembered the dog bed, go figure). The rest of this is the camping pictures, enjoy!

Rest Stop!

Daddy and I at the trail-head.

On the ascent...

Mommy and Tok attempting a climb at 11,000 ft...I think Tok's face says it all.

I loved my first river!

Getting to this island was fun, Daddy had to walk over a log bridge by our campsite!

I was mesmerized by the fire...

My newest noise is really more of a bbbbbbppppppptttttt, that looks like this when caught as a still ;)

See you all next week!
To all of my grandparents,
With love,
Leif
