Teething Hell Hike

Dear Grandparents,

This week's playgroup was at the Denver zoo. This picture is by the monkey island. Leif wasn't that impressed with the animals, and I just ended up feeling bad for them, lol.

This little girl is Audrey, she is almost two and Leif just wants to touch and grab at her, but as you can see, she is having none of that baby manhandling.

So, I didn't plan on wearing Leif around the entire zoo and looking like super mommy, which I totally did ;), but the wrong stroller was in the car and the tires were flat...freakin' Colorado goat heads, my arch nemesis, you win once again!

Here is my teething monster exploring the wonderful world of living room floor.

Don't let this smile fool you, this mischievous little booger knows not to crawl on the wood table behind him in the picture, but as soon as my back is turned he is halfway on top of it! Heart attack, why yes, I will take one right over here please.

On Monday we planned a hiking trip, we picked a trail that wasn't too long and which Tok could be off leash, just outside of Boulder, and that was when we stopped having fun. This trailhead was a mile and a half up another trail, which itself a near vertical hike, and I grabbed the small water bottle only...needless to say, we got to the trailhead we originally wanted to go to and had to head back if not for us, and don't get me wrong it was, then also for the poor dog. Not to worry, Tok received what water we had to give him on the way down, and then more back at the car. Note to self, bring more water you spaz.

Back by the car, having a little rest in the shade...

Pretty park, pretty family.

Kid loves grass now. Loves it so much he has to pull it all out.

Getting sleepy, time to head home.

To all of my son's grandparents,
With love,
Shannon
